Delete your account

You can close your UseForge account yourself, at any time, without asking us. It takes effect immediately and it cannot be undone.

In the app

• Open More, then Settings.
• Scroll to Delete account.
• Type your email address to confirm.

On the website

• Sign in and open Settings.
• Scroll to Delete account.
• Type your email address to confirm.

What is deleted

Your name, email address, password and sign-in sessions go immediately. So does every business where you are the last remaining owner, and everything inside it:

• Clients and their contact details
• Quotes and invoices, including PDFs and share links
• Payments recorded against those invoices
• Saved items, tax rates, numbering and branding
• Recurring schedules and reminders
• Activity history

Share links stop working the moment the documents go, so a client holding an old link sees nothing.

What survives

A business with another owner is not deleted. You are removed from it and the remaining owner keeps running it, with its clients and documents intact. If you are the last owner of a business you want someone else to keep, make them an owner before you delete your account.

What we may have to keep

Backups are not deleted individually. Your records disappear from the live service at once and age out of encrypted backups within 30 days.

Where South African law requires a record to be kept, we keep only that record and nothing else. Payment processors are separate controllers: a payout or a card transaction they hold is theirs to retain under their own obligations, and deleting your UseForge account does not reach into their systems.

Before you delete

Download anything you still need first. Tax records in South Africa generally have to be kept for five years, and once a business is deleted here we cannot recover its invoices for you.

If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@useforge.co.za from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you before we do anything, and complete the request within 30 days.
